Counseling Services
Our counseling services include counseling for individuals, families, groups, couples, adolescents and Opiate Dependent patients who are prescribed Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT). We support those utilizing Suboxone, Subutex and other MAT recovery efforts. We work closely with Alpha Medical Center's staff and other clinics to provide individual and specific groups for MAT patients.
We believe everyone may choose to live a life of peace and contentment with support, encouragement and effective life skills. It is our privilege to offer to teach our patients many of the methods used to achieve these goals. Each person is a unique individual and we provide individual attention to every patient both individual and group.
Individual Therapy
Individual therapy gives our clients a specialized plan for resolving issues they would like to address privately and specifically. It also affords more flexibility in appointment scheduling. Together the client and therapist will develop a strategy that will attempt to fulfill the clients’ needs. Our primary purpose is to assist the client to achieve their goals.
Couples Therapy
Couples therapy offers a time for couples to heal broken and bruised spirits. Rarely do we mean words spoken in anger and often we do not understand the depth of pain these words cause. Healing a relationship is done with love and understanding of each person by the other. We provide a safe environment for this healing to begin.
Group Therapy
Group therapy makes available a time to share experiences with one another, develop appropriate boundaries with others, practice communication skills while altering unwanted behaviors and beliefs. It takes courage to reach out for help when one is feeling overwhelmed or hurt. Understanding that it is the most important time to reach out is the first step in healing. In group therapy many people find healing by sharing and interacting with one another.
Family Counseling
Families today face many challenges attending to their marriage vows, church responsibilities, raising children, work commitments (usually by both parents), financial obligations and social promises. Sometimes we get off track, family counseling services can help get the train back up and running again.
