Outpatient therapy is "treatment" that involves learning a new way to accomplish tasks and goals toward your recovery. The goals and tasks need to be the individuals’, not a set of abstract theories or ideas someone thought would make “life better”. Our programs are geared to the individual.
We know we must meet each person at their crossroad and let them map out their course. We will provide our clients with evidence-based methods to achieve their goals. The client achieves the success and executes the actions needed to make the changes needed in their lives.
People come to outpatient therapy for a variety of reasons. Whatever the reason, if one is engaged in learning new skills and is ready to take action, the client is almost always successful. We are here to help you with each step.
Clients come to Intensive Outpatient when they are struggling to find some peace in their life and learn how to let go of the chaos that ensues alcohol and drug use. Learning to let go of some of the chaos and listen to their own voice takes time and practice. We are here to provide calming techniques that allows ones’ own voice to be heard. Chris Buchanan is our IOP Coordinator, she can be reached at 615-293-4967.
The BFS Counseling Adolescent Outpatient Program delivers an avenue for adolescents to talk, ask questions, be heard, be praised and be held accountable all at once. We provide a safe and positive atmosphere for all our clients. We meet the client where they are and work with them to meet their goals. Todays world is hard for adults to maneuver through on a daily basis, it can be tougher for our children. Nicki Stancil is our Adolescent Coordinator; she can be reached at 256-415-3206.
